In January of 2005 we opened the doors of The Wine Room of Forest Hills. In over three years, we have expanded our store three times and have become a destination for food and wines lovers from all over New York. A unique style wine shop that’s off the beaten path in Forest Hills, New York, The Wine Room has made its mark in the wine world with its intimate setting (replete with Yellow Tuscan walls!), amicable staff, incredible values and a scattering of authentic wine barrels throughout the store highlighting the current week’s great wine finds. The Wine Room houses an impressive selection of 500 hand selected wines: we are proud to feature a fine selection of wine from some of the world’s best Women Winemakers; some of the best of US wines are represented by an abundant selection of wines from California, Oregon and Washington state; the International wine scene is represented by an ever growing selection of wines from France, Spain, Argentina, Chile, Australia, South Africa and Israel; and we are also pleased to offer a great selection of Organic and Kosher wines. However, we are best known for our incredible selection of Italian wines: we guarantee that it’s the best this side of Rome!
Since all of our wines have been hand selected, you can be sure that they’ve all been tasted and have passed our high standards of quality/price ratio. Rest assured, we will not sell any wine solely based on its voluminous advertising, catchy packaging or amazingly low price. We’re only willing to sell a wine if we would serve it at our own dinner table with family and friends.
