Shipping Policy

Shipping Policy

  • You must be at least 21 years of age to purchase wine or spirits.
  • Sales tax will be applied to all New York State deliveries
  • Holidays UPS and FedEx do not pick up or deliver on weekends so please plan out your orders
  • During periods of very cold and hot weather, we attempt to ship wines at the beginning of each week in order to get shipments to you before the weekend. We do this because we have no control over the temperature conditions at our freight carriers' warehouses. The result may be that your shipment doesn't go out the day that you place an order. Your orders are immediately packaged and scheduled for delivery, but may be delayed until ideal conditions for shipment arise. We will email if such conditions occur
  • We cannot deliver to P.O Boxes

Please make sure there is a street address on all shipping destinations.

Adult Signature Required of someone over 21

By placing your order you have represented to The Wine Room of Forest Hills that you are at least 21. All alcoholic beverages that we ship on your behalf must be received and signed by an adult of the legal drinking age: this also includes items shipped out of the United States.

Shipping time frame

It takes two to three business days to assemble and process your order prior to shipping. We try not to ship ground service during hot periods. Contact one of our shipping managers if you need your order processed ASAP by email thewineroomoffh@aol.com or 718-520-1777.

For Queens Deliveries:

  • For orders to be delivered in our in our vicinity – Forest Hills area we will make an effort to make the delivery the same day on all orders placed up to 6pm of that day.
  • If you need an urgent delivery , please call the store (718) 520-1777
  • We do not make deliveries on Sunday unless special arrangements have been set up while taking your order

Shipping options

  • Ground Service-approximately 2-5 business days in transit
  • 2nd Day Air – 2 business days in transit
  • Next Day Air – 1 business day in transit
  • Local Delivery

An email will be sent to you to confirm receipt of your order and a second order will be sent to confirm your order has been shipped. Local deliveries will only receive one email. If you live in an apartment building your door man must be alerted that you will be receiving a delivery and he will have to sign and receive the package if you are not home. We will contact you at the end of the next business day if there is a problem with your order. We make every effort to post accurate product listings on our web-site, The Wine Room of Forest Hills is not responsible for typographical, pricings errors and omissions.

Please note that your shipping costs are estimated. Actual costs will be confirmed with you when your order is placed.

Many states restrict the shipment of wine. Please understand that we must abide by the laws of each State. We can not ship to the following states as of September 2008:

Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Maryland, North Carolina, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Utah.
